Texas Instruments DLP Cinema will offer an “enhanced 4K” chip in 2010. The company says the new chip is not designed to replace 2K DLP technology but, rather, is geared toward screens of 75 feet and larger. Christie and Barco announced that they would both introduce 4K projectors next year. Meanwhile, Cinemark announced that it has reached an agreement to work exclusively with Barco on 4K installations. |
