REAL D NAMES ELIZABETH BROOKS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Branding Expert and Former Napster, Buy.com, GoTV Exec Joins 3D Leader

REAL D, the global leader in 3D, announced the appointment of Elizabeth Brooks as Chief Marketing Officer. Brooks will be charged with continuing the global expansion of REAL D’s market-leading 3D cinema brand, as the impact of next-generation 3D technology continues to change the face of entertainment. She will also spearhead the development of REAL D, which has been known as a business and technology innovator, as a consumer-facing entertainment brand. Brooks is a well-known marketer of leading-edge technologies who has worked with top investment entities to brand and launch start-ups, recently spearheading the rebrand of wireless social networking company WeFi, Inc. Brooks was most recently Executive Vice President, Marketing, at mobile video innovator GoTV Networks, the first television network launched on the mobile phone platform. She named and relaunched the company, which was named the Fortune Breakout Company of the Year in mobile technology. Prior to GoTV, Brooks was Senior Vice President, Business Development, at ecommerce leader Buy.com, where she architected the company’s digital entertainment initiatives. Brooks is a pioneer in the intersection of technology and entertainment, having previously served at Napster, Inc., as Vice President, Marketing, and a founding management team member. At Napster, she was awarded the WIRED Magazine award for Best Guerrilla Marketing.
