Cohen named consultant for Digital Distribution Coalition

Steven B Cohen has been appointed as consultant to manage Digital Cinema Distribution Coalition, the alliance between Warner Bros Entertainment, Universal Pictures and Digital Cinema Implementation Partners (DCIP).

DCIP was originally announced on March 6 2007 and was set up to develop the most cost-effective form of digital delivery.

Cohen has more than 20 years of experience in digital distribution, digital post-production and digital cinema. He is currently the head of his own technology consultancy Cohen Communications.

He previously served as vice president of feature services for the Ascent Media Group, vice president of sales and development for Sony Pictures and director of business development for Sony's Advanced Digital Systems Group.
