BRUSSELS -- Belgian display and visual systems company Barco said Tuesday it had sealed two separate deals to sell around 200 of its digital cinema projectors in China.

Barco, whose displays are used as scoreboards for sports stadiums, medical imaging systems and at pop concerts, said the first contract for 100 projectors was with China Film Group Corporation, the largest state-run film enterprise in China.

They would be deployed in Chinese cities in cooperation with partner GDC Technology, a subsidiary of the Hong Kong listed Global Digital Creations Holdings Limited.

The second contract for 100 projectors together with GDC was for Guangzhou-based Jinyi Zhujiang Movie Circuit Co. Ltd., the sixth largest exhibitor in China.

Barco, whose market share is above 50 percent in Europe and Asia, signed a supply agreement with GDC in 2007 to supply 700 projectors in China.

A Barco projector costs typically 40,000 to 50,000 euros ($53,033 - $66,292).
