Fountain Valley, CA—Oct 10, 2010

Since signing a multi-year contract and purchase agreement with DCIP (KASIMA) in March 2010 Moving Image Technologies has now shipped over 1,000 fully integrated Series-2 pedestal systems in support of Cinemark’s digital cinema rollout.

The custom designed plug and play system is completely pre-wired with all software configured and tested.  Additionally, each system includes power distribution, automation, server/network electronics and in many systems, a rear mounted M4800 dimmer or IS-30 Spike Arrestor/Line Filter.  The integrated system was jointly developed by Cinemark and Moving Image Technologies to achieve the highest level of efficiency during the installation and conversion process.

“The staff at MiT were with us from the beginning. As our installation and technology requirements evolved MiT was able to meet those requirements with the highest standards while keeping cost contained and making sure all delivery schedules where met” says Damian Wardle, VP of Theater Technology and Presentation, Cinemark USA.

Cinemark plans to deploy more than 3,400 digital cinema systems throughout the US, including Cinemark's Century, CineArts and Tinseltown brands. A separate agreement with Cinemark includes plans to supply fully integrated pedestal systems to Cinemark's international locations throughout Latin America.
