Dolby Laboratories Showcases Interoperable Cinema Solutions with Industry Partners at ShoWest 2008

As the cinema industry embraces next generation technologies that are reinventing the cinema experience, Dolby is working closely with industry partners to provide interoperable and integrated product solutions to assist in simplifying digital cinema for exhibitors.

WHO: Dolby and partners will showcase integrated solutions at the 34th annual ShoWest Convention at the Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, March 10-13, 2008.

WHAT: The following Dolby solutions will be on display in partner booths:

Dolby Digital Cinema

- The Dolby Show Store and Dolby Show Player, part of the Dolby Digital Cinema system that stores, manages and plays digital movies, will be showcased in the Barco Media and Entertainment, Christie Digital Systems, Cinemeccanica, EPRAD (Strong International booth), Kinoton,Moving Image Technologies, Technicolor and D-Box booths.
- Technicolor (Bally's suite) andAccessIT will have working demonstrations of the Dolby Show Store and Dolby Show Player interfaced with their theatre management software systems.

Dolby 3D

- Dolby's unique color filter technology for 3D provides realistic color reproduction and produces crystal-clear images without the need for a silver screen will be displayed by Barco Media and Entertainment,Christie Digital Systems, Cinemeccanica, Kinoton and NEC (Strong International booth).
- A D-Box demo will be playing 2D & 3D content off Dolby Digital Cinema and Dolby 3D systems.

Dolby Audio Solutions

- Dolby's flagship CP650 digital cinema audio processor that connects to all digital cinema servers will be showcased by AccessIT, Christie Digital Systems and Moving Image Technologies.
- Dolby's DMA8Plus, a cost-effective and flexible Digital Media Adapter for interfacing digital cinema and alternative content sources to existing cinema sound systems, will be on display in Moving Image Technologies.
