Real D has secured an additional $20 million from private equity funding that caps off a $50m boost back in March 2007 from Shamrock. Real D currently has over 1000 3D theater systems installed with a heavy focus on 4000 by May 2009. The timing couldn't be better! 3D is growing exponentially - just watch investors drool after Hannah Montana's week long 3D engagement swamps the per-theater revenue stats.
